Hat Girl

When Mara was little, she loved to wear hats. She wore them all the time. Then, she went through a phase of never wanting to even put one on her head. For her second birthday last year, Grandma Haley knitted a hat for her. She wore it for a day or so at the time, but then didn't think about it again.

This winter, we pulled the hat out for her to wear one cold day, and she really hasn't taken it off since. She wears it all the time and insistst that we find it to put it on if we're going somewhere no matter what the temperature is. In fact, one day when we were at Chick-Fil-A, she decided to wear it the whole time she was on the playground.

Here's Mara wearing one of her many hats when she was about six months old.

And here's her current hat.

(Isn't it amazing to see how much she has grown!) We'll see if this carries on to the summer. I think we'll find at least one hat for her to wear in case it does.
