I wasn't able to get a picture of it, but this chimp came up to the window right in front of us and put a hand and foot against the glass. Jack didn't know what to think, and he almost tripped over our feet trying to back away from the chimp. He didn't enjoy this exhibit nearly as much as we thought he would.
Mara posed in the same thing she did when we were here two years ago. Look at how much she's grown!
Mara and Jack got to pet some Aladabra tortoises. The put food out, and they were eager to come and get it.
Mara's favorite land animal is a giraffe, and she got to see three of them at the Tulsa Zoo. They recently built a pavilion where you are pretty much eye level with the giraffes (you can see some of it in the background of the picture below).
This elephant, Gunda, is over 60 years old, and they've had her since she was about 4. She's one of the oldest elephants in captivity, and she's the oldest animal at the Tulsa Zoo.
The last time we were here, the Tulsa and Oklahoma City zoos were teaming up for a breeding program, and one of the females was newly pregnant. The mom and baby went back to the Oklahoma City Zoo, so we'll see them tomorrow, but here is the dad, Sneezy.

We went through Stillwater on our way to OKC so we could stock up on OSU and Joe's stuff. We weren't able to drive around too much because storms were moving through, and it got dark quickly.
