Zoo Road Trip: Oklahoma City Zoo

For the second part of our zoo road trip, we met our friends Clinton & Evelyn and their three kids at the Oklahoma City Zoo today.

While Mara's favorite land animal is the giraffe, I think today showed that Jack's is the zebra. He was just fascinated with them.

This zoo had a lot of statues throughout that made for great photo opportunities.

We saw four three-month-old tiger cubs.

Mara was fascinated We also saw a six-month-old elephant calf, Malee, and her mom, Aasha.

The highlight of the trip for Mara was when she got to feed a couple of giraffes. She wasn't too sure about the giraffes' tongues, but still enjoyed the experience.

We got to see the otters get their enrichment – a pumpkin filled with fish.

Mara finally got her train ride today.

We took the opportunity to take a group picture even though Jack was passed out. It's neat to see how our family has grown throughout the years since we left Stillwater.

We enjoyed dinner together before heading back on the road to go home.

All in all, it was a good weekend trip, but it's nice to be back home.
