I made a "Clubhouse" cake using strawberry cake mix and Rice Krispie treats. I also made Mickey Mouse head cakeballs with Devil's food cake, milk chocolate icing, and chocolate almond bark with mini Oreos for the ears. It all turned out really well except the black frosting tint I bought to cover the head tasted awful. I'm glad I didn't use them for the cake balls too. I also found out that you should keep all things chilled if you are using Rice Krispie treats with cake, but at least we were able to rescue the cake.
It was nice to celebrate Jack's birthday with family.
