Star-Spangled Celebration

Every year at the beginning of March, Mara's school hosts the Star-Spangled Celebration to honor the birthday of the Star-Spangled Banner. This year, the assembly also coincided with Texas Independence Day. All of the Scouts who wore their uniforms got to go up to the stage to help lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance. The city's mayor, police chief, fire chief, and U.S. Representative Sam Johnson were also in attendance.
