Today was Mara's last day of kindergarten. The day started off with Mara's name being on the announcements for becoming a self manager. She even got a self manager badge that she proudly wore.
The parties for all of the kindergarten classes this year have been based on the "If You Give..." series by Laura Numeroff. Today's party was for If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, so the kids created picture frames with cupcakes on it and decorated cupcakes to eat. Jack even enjoyed a cupcake of his own.
Afterward, we went outside for a picnic. (The kindergartners have a very early lunch.) When we went inside, Mara gave her teacher a present for being such a great teacher, and then we took her home. Since it was an early release day, Mara only missed the last hour of school.
