Fall Is in the Air

Tuesday, September 28

Jack tried carrots tonight, and he loved them. It's the first time he's really gone after a food, but he was opening his mouth wide and attacking the spoon. He even finished off the whole container of carrots.

Wednesday, September 29

Fall means that it's apple season, which makes Mara happy. She really likes gala apples, so I picked some up for her today.

Thursday, September 30

Mara had her first official Daisy troop meeting tonight. At the meeting, they started learning the Girl Scout Promise, planted daisies, and made name tags. She had a lot of fun and is really looking forward to going to more meetings.

Friday, October 1

Mikey tried to impersonate Mary Poppins early this week and ended up fracturing his heal, which is now in a cast. Mara signed her named and helped him decorate his cast.

Saturday, October 2

Today was the Home Depot Kids Workshop, and Mara made a fire boat. They try to always do the October one outside because it's Fire Safety Month, and they usually have a police car and fire truck there. Mara was disappointed that they weren't there this year, but the weather was great and she had fun building her boat.

Sunday, October 3

Jack tried a sippy cup for the first time today. He wasn't too sure what to think. The liquid doesn't come out just by chewing on it, but he didn't really realize he could suck on it like a bottle since the spout is different. We'll have to keep trying him with it because I think he'll like it.
