Mara is close to losing her first tooth (on its own). One of her bottom teeth is pretty loose, and she needs to keep working on it to get it to come out. I doubt it will come out while she's eating since it's right below the tooth she's missing, so she doesn't ever take a bite using that part of her mouth.
Tuesday, August 3
In addition to Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mara has also taken an interest in Dragonball Z, which they show in Nick Toons between showings of Avatar. Instead of waiting for the next show, she's been able to watch it from our DVDs.
Wednesday, August 4
Mara and Jack like to snuggle. Sometimes they get to snuggle before going to sleep, but most of the time the snuggling is saved for the mornings.
Thursday, August 5
We got all eight cousins together today for professional pictures. When working with eight kids, it's hard to get them all looking and smiling at the same time. This is the best one of the bunch. (And I've been trying to share the entire album with people, but the e-mails just aren't going through. I'll keep trying so you guys can see all of the pictures.)
Friday, August 6
Chick-Fil-A is giving away cows that you can design yourself in the kids meals, so Mara decorated her cows with the stickers that came with them.
Saturday, August 7
We had an extra full bed when I got up this morning since Lani stayed the night with us. After we got up, we took the girls to The Home Depot Kids Workshop where they built a school bus pencil holder.
Sunday, August 8
Jack had a rough weekend because he has several teeth trying to break through. Several of them are right below the surface, and he was fighting a low-grade fever all weekend.
