Jack – 1 year old

One year ago today, we were holding a brand new baby boy in our arms. This past year has sped by, but it's hard to remember what life was like before Jack was here.

Jack is still not walking yet, but he is constantly on the move. He almost exclusively crawls on his hands and knees and pulls himself up with and onto everything. He hasn't really tried letting go of things to stand on his own, but I think he's close. He doesn't suffer from separation anxiety like he used to. He will sit and crawl around on the floor playing with his toys for a long time,

He likes to talk all the time. He mainly says "hi," "bye," and "Dada-dee," but he will also say "Mama," "Granddad," and "Aunt Diannie" or at least his version of all of those. He will also wave hi and bye as well as blow kisses and point at things.

Jack loves food. He eats pretty much anything we give him. He'll also drink most everything. We haven't tried him on straight milk yet (he's had it in cereal), but we plan on transitioning him off of bottles and formula soon. I don't think he'll put up too much of a fight since he's not drinking too much formula anymore, but we'll have to see about that nighttime bottle.

Things have been kind of crazy this week, so I haven't had a chance to take Jack's pictures. Hopefully we'll get the family pictures this weekend.

ETA 3/13/11: I added the family pictures. Now we just need to get Jack's individual ones. :)

ETA 3/16/11: And here are Jack's pictures...only one week late. :)
