Jack – 11 months

Jack is now 11 months old. Only one more month, and he will be a year old.

He is constantly pulling up on things. He just needs to start cruising more, and it won't be too long before he's walking. Just this week, he has even started to crawl on his hands and knees (first picture below). Even though he can get around faster on his hands and knees, he still prefers his army crawl.

Jack has discovered he can make kissing sounds (what he's doing in the fourth picture below) in addition to working on his T and F sounds. He's still working on his words, but we thinks he's trying to say something most of the time. He also loves to push buttons—especially on computers.

He has recently developed separation anxiety, so it's hard for us to set him down and get anything done. However, his crawling around trying to chase us down has led to the discovery that there's more to the house than the family room or the room that we're in. He is learning his own way to Mara's room or to the bathroom. During the Super Bowl, he even found his way to his own room.

In addition to separation anxiety, Jack has also become attached to his cloths, which are exactly like Mara's. Twice today alone, he fussed until he got his cloth, and then he went to sleep almost immediately.

ETA 2/19 our new family pictures plus one of Mara and me.
