We got a notice today that Jack will be moving up to the Toddler class as of next Monday. This came as a surprise to us because we always had to fight to get Mara moved up at her old daycare. She had to be able to walk across the room before she could be in the Toddler class, but at Jack's daycare, they believe that being around walkers will help encourage him to walk. That's the same thing we tried to convince the director of when Mara was a baby, so it's nice to see that this daycare falls more in line with our beliefs.

Jack is spending a lot of time in the Toddler class this week since he is moving up on Monday. As one of their activities today, they colored with crayons, so here is a picture of Jack's first drawing.

Tonight was the last night of kung fu lessons for Mara (and John), and here they are with their sifu (instructor). While Mara enjoyed the classes, I don't think kung fu is for her. At least not yet. So, I think we're going to go back to swimming lessons for now. When his leg heals, John wants to learn more kung fu.

Mara had Girl Scouts tonight. The girls are learning about Mexico for World Thinking Day next month, and tonight they made Ojos de Dios (God's Eyes).

One of our neighborhood kitties joined Mara in the backyard tonight and loved the attention she got.
