For the second year in a row, we went to SeaWorld San Antonio to enjoy their Christmas celebration. It was a little colder than last year, but we still had a good time. It was kind of bittersweet to know that this was our last vacation as a family of three.
It was hard to narrow down the pictures, so you're in for a picture overload with this post. :)
Friday, December 4
We packed up and headed out to San Antonio today. We left a little later than we wanted to because we first had to replace a tire that got a nail in it. When we got there, we ate dinner and then went and drove through the University of the Incarnate Word campus to see the lights they had up.
Saturday, December 5
Mara wouldn't go near Santa, but we were able to get a picture of all of us with Shamu Claus this year (and Seamore the Sea Lion and Dolly the Dolphin). Sadly, this was the last time we'll get to see the Clydesdale horses there since Anheuser Busch officially sold the park this past week after announcing the sale a couple of months ago. All signs of the former ownership are already gone, and the Clydesdales will officially leave early next year. As always, Mara got to feed the dolphins, which she always enjoys. That night, we enjoyed a nice hot chocolate to help warm us up while we watched the sea lion show. Mara especially liked it. When we left the park, we discovered we were on the verge of a milestone with my car.
Sunday, December 6
We spent our last day at SeaWorld doing everything we wanted to, including feeding the dolphins (again) and the ducks. We also took my 26-week pictures outside the front entrance and added to Mara's flattened penny collection by getting some of the various ones around the park.
