Hallmark started an ornament series in 1999 called "Mischievous Kittens." John tried to get the first one for me, but they quickly ran out that year. We've made a point to get the new ornament each year since, and I picked up this year's ornament on the way home from work tonight.
Tuesday, December 1
We buy an advent calendar for Mara each year. This year, we let her choose between Playmobil and LEGO. She chose the Playmobil one, but little did we know that there was some assembly required. After we got the calendar put together, Mara opened the first door on the calendar.
Wednesday, December 2
We woke up this morning to snow. Hard to believe it was snowing in north Texas on just the second day of December. When Mara woke up and saw the snow, she immediately asked if it was Christmas because she's already associating snow with Christmas. :)
Thursday, December 3
Mara wore her new Christmas shirt today, and is really enjoying the trees and birds she's gotten so far in her advent calendar.
