Busy Week

How can we already be a week into June? I don't know where they time has gone this year.

Monday, June 1

John decided to make outside in burgers for dinner tonight. He stuffed the insides with bacon and cheese, and we all enjoyed them.

Tuesday, June 2

We fixed Hawaiian meatballs (aka sweet and sour meatballs) for dinner tonight. It's been a while since we last had them, which made them even better. :)

Wednesday, June 3

Apparently the plant my staff gave me last October is thriving. In fact, a new growth popped up in the couple of weeks.

Thursday, June 4

We cooked a lot of meals at home this week, which is good because it means we have a lot of leftovers for lunches. Tonight, we made a cheesy chicken, broccoli, and rice dish.

Friday, June 5

Mara had a splash day at school today, so she got to wear her swimsuit to school today. They weren't going to start splashing until after their morning snack, but the kids got to enjoy playing on the playground in their swimsuits first.

Saturday, June 6

Lani spent the night with us again last night, and this morning I took the girls to the Kids Workshop at Home Depot. They had a lot of fun assembling what were supposed to be hardware sorter boxes for Father's Day, but they both insisted on keeping the boxes for themselves for whatever they wanted to put in them. Afterward, we went up to Lani's house to go swimming, and the girls goofed off with the swimming rings.

Sunday, June 7

Doxy decided the coolest place in the family room is in Mara's tent. Too bad we took the tent down this afternoon to clear up space in the living room.
