Swimming lessons

Mara had her first swimming lesson tonight through the Plano Parks & Recreation Department, and she loved it. She was so excited once she got in the water, and she couldn't stop bouncing. She calmed down enough to be evaluated and put in the intermediate group. She showed her teachers that she knew how to kick and was pretty confident in the water overall. However, she wasn't too sure about putting her head underwater (and would even yell, "I don't want to!" and later told us she needed her goggles to go underwater), but she did some. I think the swimming lessons will be good for her. She still has seven more lessons to go, and we're already talking about enrolling her in some more during one of the July sessions.
