An Eventful Week

We had a pretty busy week this week, and I don't think it's going to slow down any as Mara's birthday is quickly approaching.

Monday, March 9

This weekend, we went shopping for some spring clothes. Mara wore her first outfit to school today, and we took the time for a little mini photo shoot while we were out getting the mail.

Tuesday, March 10

We went shopping tonight for things for Mara's party. While we were at Party City, we found some really fun sunglasses, and Mara had a blast trying on all the different pairs. Her favorite was probably the blue butterfly in the picture above.

Wednesday, March 11

It's supposed to be a rainy week, and we're currently on day two of the rain. Not that I mind it. I like that we're getting all this rain, and better this week than next so hopefully it will be nice and sunny for Mara's birthday party.
Thursday, March 12

Mara's class at school had a Body Rhythmics demonstration tonight. It had been almost a year since they had hosted a demonstration, and it was neat to see what all the kids learn during their music class. They had some really cute songs that they sing too. This is a picture of Mara with Ms. Monica, the music teacher.

Friday, March 13

Lori has skating and ballet in Plano every Friday night, so we typically meet up with my family at the skate center before going to dinner. There's a ramp leading up to the second level, and all the kids love to sit on their skate bags and roll down the ramp. Lori usually lets Mara ride her bag while she pushes, but sometimes Lori goes along for the ride as well. (You can see Lani pushing her bag back up the ramp in the background.)

Saturday, March 14

About seven or eight years ago, when John worked for Tandberg, we acquired a 32-inch TV that they deemed "broken." Tonight, it became officially broken as the tube went out, and the TV no longer comes on. John has been wanting to get a flat panel TV for a while now, so I guess we're going to be seriously considering one in the near future. At least we have our other TV (the one we got with our wedding money and keep in our bedroom) to hold us over until we decide to take the leap.

Sunday, March 15

On Friday, we found out that PJ and Precious were getting married today. It was a nice small wedding, and we had a lot of fun sharing their day with them. I was their unofficial photographer for the ceremony, but John was the one who caught the great action shot of the bouquet toss.
