Jack's hair (and face) were in desperate need of a wash after dinner tonight, but it was fun to give Jack a mohawk.
Wednesday, July 6
John needs to be able to access his work e-mail on the go with his new job (since he won't actually be working in the office), so we had to get him a smartphone. The drawback was that we just upgraded our phones at the end of 2010. It actually worked out cheaper to just add a line to our plan so he could get the new phone at a discounted price. Now we just need to figure out what apps we want to download to it. :)
Thursday, July 7
We made pot roast for dinner tonight using a medley of potatoes that John's mom introduced us to last weekend. It was neat to have purple potatoes in our pot roast.
Friday, July 8
Myra fixed some Filipino food for dinner tonight to celebrate Lori's birthday. Mara really enjoys the pork on a stick.
Saturday, July 9
We had a bunch of errands to run today, so we stopped by Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Since they had a nice variety, we just bought a box of Munchkins. Jack was pretty happy with his powdered sugar ones.
Sunday, July 10
Since we had to add a line to get John's new phone, Mara inherited John's old phone and number, and she is over the moon about it. We even got a purple cover for her to help cushion it from the falls we know it will take. I think she understands that she's not allowed to use it without our permission. Plus, it's locked down pretty tight. She can't receive calls (they're forwarded to John's new number), texting has been blocked, and she can only call the people listed in her contacts.
