Happy October!

Fall was definitely in the air this week.

Monday, September 28

John made a very yummy chicken, broccoli, rice, and cheese concoction for dinner today. All of us really enjoyed it.

Tuesday, September 29

When we got home from work/school today, we got to see a hot air balloon up in the air not too far from our house.

Wednesday, September 30

Today was Mara's last rhythmic gymnastics class. She finally mastered a trick with the jump rope that her teacher Tatiana has been teaching the class since the first one. She had a lot of fun with this class, but I think we're going to take a short break from activities. She's been asking to take swimming lessons again, so I think that's next on the agenda.

Thursday, October 1

Mara and I had to drive through a storm. When we were almost home, the sun started shining despite the fact it was still raining, and this beautiful rainbow appeared as we were pulling in the alleyway.

Friday, October 2

Since it's finally October, Mara wore her pumpkin/Halloween outfit to school today.

Saturday, October 3

Mara built a firehouse bank at The Home Depot Kids Workshop today. Since it's fire safety month, she build a firehouse bank. She also got to sit in a police car. We were kind of surprised that she actually got in, but she stayed at the very edge of the seat. Then, we went and saw Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3-D. She really enjoyed wearing the glasses and watching the movies.

Sunday, October 4

We went to Newflower Market today and stocked up on apples for only 39 cents a pound. Mara loves apples, so we know we'll go through all of these apples fairly quickly. I'll probably run back to the store and get some more before the sale ends.
