The zoo had a lot of fun cardboard cutouts that we posed with, starting with the meerkats.
We were looking forward to doing the giraffe feeding, but the giraffe wasn't hungry when we were there.
The kids enjoyed feeding the budgies before going to see the elephants going through their checkups.
We finally made it to the pandas, which were at the back of the zoo. We saw three of their pandas, including Po, a baby that was born in November 2010 (same year as Jack).
The two young tigers, Sanji & Sony, are turning one Thursday. It's amazing to see that they are almost the same size of their mom. We even got to see the trainers work with them a little.
The zoo also had a gorilla named Henry that was born May 25, 2010.
When we were done with the zoo, we headed south to the Dwarf House Chick-fil-A, home of Dan Cathy's original restaurant. It was a neat experience because it was half fast food restaurant and half sit-down restaurant. We chose the sit-down side where they served all meals on real plates and with a salad. Sadly, Jack missed out on most of it because we wore him out at the zoo.
A storm started rolling in when we were leaving, and it hit pretty hard.
After the storm cleared, we decided to walk a couple of blocks to Pemberton Place to get tickets for tomorrow's trips to the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola. We took a few minutes to pose with the statue of Dr. Pemberton, the inventor of Coke.
